Wednesdays – Tips for Successful Meditation

December 7, 14, 21
Wednesdays, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
with Resident Teacher
Kadam Amy Peng

The success of our meditation depends upon our making six preparations.

The six preparatory practices are:

1 Cleaning the meditation room and setting up a shrine with representations of Buddha’s body, speech and mind.
2 Arranging suitable offerings.
3 Sitting in the correct meditation posture, going for refuge, and generating and enhancing bodhichitta.
4 Visualizing the Field for Accumulating Merit.
5 Accumulating merit and purifying negativity by offering the practice of the seven limbs and the mandala.
6 Requesting for blessings.

Teachings will be based on:

The New Eight Steps to Happiness by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche is an immensely inspiring and practical book. Through practicing the instructions in this book, we will transform all life’s difficulties into valuable spiritual insights and develop universal love and compassion, the source of true happiness for both ourself and others.

Everyone is welcome.
Each class includes meditation, teaching, and discussion.
