Two special events this month: an Open House on Tuesday, October 18, and a retreat on Visions of the Pure Land with Kadam Michelle Saturday, October 22. Then on  October 25 we start a new weekly Tuesday evening class:  Simply  Meditate, with Kadampa teacher Mallory Benavides.  All three are at:

If you are new to Buddhism and meditation and would like to discover what it is all about, you are welcome to attend our free monthly Open House.

6:30pm – 7:00pm: Center Tour
7:00pm – 7:45pm:  Guided Meditation & Free Talk ~ Buddhism 101

The evening will start at 6:30 pm with tour of Dharmachakra Buddhist Center. At 7:00 pm there is a free public talk which includes a guided relaxation and breathing meditation,  a short talk on meditation and Buddhism, & an introduction to the Center’s programs.

Registration: No registration is necessary for Open House Events, just drop in.


Visions of the Pure Land
with Kadam Michelle
October 22nd, 9:30am – 3:00pm

During this retreat, Kadam Michelle will share teachings and guide meditations on the preliminary practices of Guru yoga and mandala offerings given at the first week of Summer Festival based on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s new book “The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra”. This is a precious opportunity to gain the tools to prepare our mind for meditation on the very essence of Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra..

Simply Meditate

New Weekly Class starting Tuesday, October 25
with Kadampa Teacher Mallory Benavides

Tuesdays evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30 pm
Starting Tuesday, October 25
The purpose of these classes is to help people gain personal experience of inner peace through the practice of meditation, to overcome their daily problems, and to find real happiness in their hearts so they can be of benefit to those around them. The classes are suitable for people with entry level experience.
